Mindfulness for Families (Children 10 yrs and older)
This class teaches parents and children (10 years and older) how to use mindfulness to ease stress and manage difficult emotions. The practices taught during these sessions have been proven to decrease anxiety in children. Children will become calmer and more focused. Parents have reported that children are becoming less emotionally reactive, and more compassionate with themselves as well as others, and children are experiencing less stress regarding homework and tests. Some skills parents will learn include understanding emotions, challenging unhelpful thoughts, and how to develop coping plans. Source Triple P Module 2.
