X-WR-CALDESC:Mindfulness for families is an invite to parents and children 
 to explore mindfulness practice of paying attention\, here and now\, with 
 kindness and curiosity. As children and adolescents practice attending to 
 the breath and resting in the brief pauses between breaths\, they experien
 ce a natural\, reliable stillness and quietness within themselves. Studies
  of mindfulness meditation have emphasized its value as a stress managemen
 t technique. The class is intended for parents and children (ages 4-18). T
 he practice explored during these sessions have been proven to decrease an
 xiety in students\, improve emotional regulation skills and increase self-
 esteem. Participants who have taken this class have reported an increased 
 sense of calmness\, relaxation and self-acceptance as well as becoming les
 s emotionally reactive and more compassionate with themselves as well as o
 thers.\n\n<b>This is a 6 session class\, skipping Thanksgiving Day\, Thurs
 day\, November 26\, 2020. The last session will resume the following week 
 on Thursday\, December 3\, 2020. </b>\n\n<b>Registration Deadline:</b> Cla
 ss registration will close 24 hours before the beginning of the course. If
