  and alcohol exposed infants and children. Trainees will learn about the l

 ach affects a child differently. Participants will learn about interventio
 ns and will be able to apply them through the use of scenarios. A good por
 tion of this training will also focus on how to identify Fetal Alcohol Spe
 ctrum Disorder and strategies for intervention.\n\n<b>About Judith Lefler<
 /b>\nMs. Lefler was the Assistant Director of the Bay Area Academy from 20
 02 to 2015. Prior to that\, she was a supervising Public Health Nurse in S
 an Francisco child welfare. Ms. Lefler has been consulting and training fo
 r over 40 years. She specializes in Child Maltreatment\, drug and alcohol 
 exposed infants\, infant mental health\, trauma\, teaming\, and interdisci
 plinary practice. She is also certified as a Legal Nurse Consultant and ha
 s served as a medical guardian ad litem for Solano County Superior Court. 
 Ms. Lefler has been an active participant in many statewide committees inc
 luding but not limited to: CSEC\, California Practice Model\, CORE 3.0\, F
 ostering Connections\, Bay Area Regional Children’s Committee\, and the Ch
 ild Welfare Directors Association. After her retirement\, she has continue
 d to train for the Bay Area Academy.
