 Amy Machado that will explore how we can support people with developmental
  disabilities to build healthy and meaningful relationships. \n\n<b>This w
 ill be a presentation in English with simultaneous interpretation in Spani
 sh.</b>\n\nThis training will discuss how we can support people with devel
 opmental disabilities to build healthy and meaningful relationships\, whil
 e also providing them with information about sexual abuse and coercion. Th
 e speakers will discuss resources that are available for providers\, schoo
 ls\, and parents to support them to directly teach people with development
 al disabilities about safe relationship development\, sexual health\, and 
 how to decrease risk factors associated with sexual abuse.\n\n<b>Agenda:</

 k the Expert Q&A\n\n<b>Continuing Education Units:</b>  All attendees will
  receive a Certificate of Attendance. Participants may apply for continuin
 g education credits (CEUs) when they fill out the follow-up survey. Certif
 icates for CEUs will be mailed to participants within two weeks following 
 the event.\n\nCourse meets qualifications for 3 hours of Continuing Educat
 ion Units (Provider #128510) as required by the California Board of Behavi
 oral Sciences). The Center for Innovation and Resources\, Inc. (CIR) is ap
 proved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to 
 sponsor continuing education for LMFTs and LCSWs. CIR maintains responsibi
 lity for this program/course and its content. CEUs will be available after
  the webinar for a fee of $30.\n\n<b>Our Presenters</b>\n\nDr. Katie Pedgr
 ift is a licensed clinical psychologist at North Bay Regional Center. She 
 earned a Special Education Teaching Credential from San Diego State Univer
 sity\, her Master’s Degree in Special Education from San Francisco State U
 niversity\, and her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Alliant Internatio
 nal University. She has worked with people who have autism and other devel
 opmental disabilities in a variety of contexts including forensic settings
 \, in-patient and out-patient settings\, schools\, and diagnostic clinics.
  Dr. Pedgrift has authored numerous curricula designed to increase knowled
 ge and self-protection behaviors in people with disabilities including Rel
 ationships Decoded\, Array of Color’s curricula\, Abuse Awareness and Prev
 ention\, Sexuality\, as well as How to be Fire Safe programs.  \n\nAmy J. 
 Machado\, M.A.\, BCBA is the CEO/Owner of SEEDS Therapy Center and has wor
 ked with individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities for 
 over 20 years in home\, school\, community\, and clinical settings. Amy ea
 rned bachelor’s degrees in Health and Education\, and a master’s degree in
  Teaching with an emphasis in Special Education from Belmont University.  
 Additionally\, she earned a post graduate certification in Behavior Analys
 is from Florida Institute of Technology. Amy has extensive experience work
 ing with individuals with disabilities of all ages and has spent the latte
 r part of her career creating innovative programs to assist young adults w
 ith the transition into adulthood. Amy has authored the Rooted In Connecti
 on curricula that teaches comprehensive sex education with an emphasis on 
 relationships\, social boundaries\, assertiveness\, and abuse prevention f
 or individuals with disabilities (youth through adult). In addition to han
 dling STC operations\, Amy conducts trainings and speaking engagements thr
 oughout the state for parents and professionals on social-sexual topics in
